Final Fantasy X Al Bhed Primer Locations w/ Pictures!

Al Bhed is the foreign language spoken in Final Fantasy spoken none other than by the Al Bhed.  You can find primers all throughout Spira and other guides give these locations, but I have always found them lacking in some way or found something difficult to understand, so I'm making this little list for me... and anyone else who wants to use it, feel free. I've also added images to help those who, like me, have trouble interpreting the location in words.

There are many primers in Spira that you can miss and go back to the area later to obtain them, but there are some special situations, so keep this key in mind:
* - Indicates that if you miss it, don't panic. It'll appear again in the Bikanel Desert for you to get later!
** - Indicates that you must get this primer now. There's no going back and it doesn't reappear later for you.

*Al Bhed Primer I - Al Bhed Salvage Ship - This primer is located on the Al Bhed ship with Rikku in the upper right corner. You can get it before talking to her again after a brief cutscene.

Al Bhed Primer II - Besaid Island - This primer is in the Crusader's tent on Besaid Island at the reception desk closer to the right side. It's on the ground, so you really can't see it that well depending on when you're looking for it. 

*Al Bhed Primer III - S.S. Liki - Remember, this is the first ferry, the one from Besaid to Kilika.The primer is in the power room located below decks. It's kind of hard to see because only a corner of if it visible.

Al Bhed Primer IV - Kilika Island - This primer is in the pub which is directly up from where you get off the ferry on the reception desk. You initially can't go inside because a man is in the way who says something to the effect of him really needing a drink. After you rest for the night, you can go back and the man will be gone.

*Al Bhed Primer V - S.S. Winno - If you go up onto the deck, there's a door directly to your left, inside is the primer directly behind the helmsman!

Al Bhed Primer VI - Luca Stadium - If you leave the area where to Auroch's locker room and go to the locker rooms on the opposite side, you'll find the primer wedged between some people's feet on the left. 

Al Bhed Primer VII - Luca Theater - If you go toward the reception counter, on the ground on the left near the bottom of the screen is the primer!

Al Bhed Primer VIII - Mi'hen Highroad Travel Agency - Talk to Rin! He'll give you the primer during the conversation.

You're forced to talk to Rin, so don't stress to much with this one.

Al Bhed Primer IX - Mi'hen Highroad - This one is best depicted in the picture, but it's on the ground near a stone marker. Look closely at the location on the map to help you!

Al Bhed Primer X - Mushroom Rock Road - After taking the lift up from the long winding road, proceed to the next lift, but don't take it yet. Head left to a path circling a stone column. Al Bhed Primer #10 is lying near the end of it.

Al Bhed Primer XI - Djose Highroad - As you're running along the highroad, you'll pass a rock where it is clearly visible and in sight behind, but still easy to miss if you're not paying attention!

Al Bhed Primer XII - The Moonflow Wharf - On the north bank of the Moonflow you can see it lying near the water wheel thing. Go over and grab it and you have your primer!

Al Bhed Primer XIII - Guadosalam - This one is located in a resident's house, so you'll need to check through all the rooms you can go through to be sure you find it!

**Al Bhed Primer XIV - Thunder Plains Agency - Talk to Rikku and then when Rin comes in talk to him again! Be sure to tell him your studies are going "Okay." You may have to talk to some of the others first as well, but be sure he comes in and you talk to him before you follow Yuna.

I'm not absolutely sure whether or not you can miss this one and get it later or
if you miss it and you don't get it, so be sure you get it now so you don't have
to worry about that later!

Al Bhed Primer XV - On the north side of Macalania Forest, north of the save sphere, south of the clearing with Jecht's sphere there's essentially a hidden hole you can kind of run into and find the primer. It's not really a hole, but it's such a hidden spot for a primer, that it can be difficult to find.

Al Bhed Primer XVI - Macalania Agency - If you look outside of the agency to the left, it's on the ground in pretty easy to see in the shadow of the agency.

Al Bhed Primer XVII - Sanubia Desert Central - There's a sign near a save sphere that points to the left and right, strong and weaker fiends respectively. This primer is on the right, under a dome. Click for a map of the entire Bikanel Desert to help you!

Al Bhed Primer XVIII - Sanubia Desert Central - This one is to the north, just before you exit. It should be near a sign that says "This way to Home"

Remember to get the next 4 now!

**Al Bhed Primer XIX - Al Bhed Home - Outside of Home, on the paved area, near some rubble to the left, you'll find your #19 Primer!

**Al Bhed Primer XX - Home Living Quarters - Rikku will tell you to follow her to the Summoner's Sanctum, do so and there will be a battle after which Rikku will say "Over here!" go down some steps, then backtrack to a door on the left. It'll appear as a green square on your mini-map, so be sure to check it! In the room, the primer #20 is on the bed.

Most people miss this one on their own, so be sure you get it!

**Al Bhed Primer XXI - Al Bhed Home Corridor - Save at the Save Sphere beside a door, but do not enter the door! Go back to the Y shaped intersection and go right. 

There's also two puzzle chests behind that door. Look for a guide on how to do them!

**Al Bhed Primer XXII - Bevelle Priest's Passage - This one is in plain sight, on the ground, but it blends with the floor a bit. This is after Yuna's wedding, and you won't be coming back here, so be sure to grab it now!

Al Bhed Primer XXIII - Northwest Calm Lands - This one is easy to see, but it's all the way Northwest on the edge of the cliff. 

Belgimine is Southeast of here, so go find her if you haven't!

Al Bhed Primer XXIV - Remien Temple - The primer is on the ground on the left side, easily seen.

You'll need a Chocobo to get to the temple!

Al Bhed Primer XXV - Cavern of the Stolen Fayth - You'll need to go pretty far into the cavern to the save sphere, save Then back track to the T intersection and choose to go left to a short dead end. 

Al Bhed Primer XXVI - Omega Ruins - You'll need to be prepared to fight more difficult monsters are have a weapon with "No Encounter" equipped to one of your party members here. Once in the Omega Ruins, enter, go left. Passage slopes down, curves to right. Pass small room on left. When you reach glyph at T intersection, go right. Corridor curls around to north, to 4 chests.
